Ryberg named TC&W AVP

Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefThe Twin Cities & Western Railroad Co. has promoted Tina Ryberg to Assistant Vice President Administration and Operations, based at the railroad’s headquarters in Glencoe, Minn. Ryberg oversees multiple departments including transportation/operations, maintenance-of-way, mechanical, safety, accounting, human resource, and administration.
Ryberg replaced Vice President Operations Victor Meyers, who became President of sister company Red River Valley & Western Railroad in January 2018.
Ryberg started her 15-year railroad career with TC&W in 2004 and most recently served as TC&W’s Administration Manager since 2011. A native of Browerville, Minn., she earned a B.S. degree in business administration in 2007 from Crown College, Saint Bonifacius, Minn.
TC&W President and CEO Mark Wegner said, “I am fully confident in Tina’s abilities to take on these responsibilities, which will enable me to focus on our organization’s long-term growth opportunities.”
The 229-mile TC&W began operations in 1991 between St. Paul-Minneapolis, Minn. and Milbank, S.Dak. Its Minnesota Prairie Line subsidiary operates 94 miles of line between Norwood and Hanley Falls, Minn. In July 2012, TC&W acquired the Sisseton-Milbank Railroad, operating 37 miles of line between its namesake cities in South Dakota.
