New Tamper launched by TM Track Machines
Written by David Briginshaw, Consulting Editor, International Railway JournalIRJ at Railway Interchange: TM Track Machines (TMT) had on show its new TMT Roadmaster 1.0 at the outdoor exhibition area in Minneapolis.
The machine combines a so-called “pup” tamper with a people carrier. The unit’s glass cockpit features TMT’s Skipper system which controls all tamping functions and operations. Skipper is a CAN-based control system which is designed to simplify operation and maintenance.
TMT also has on display its refurbished 6700 Hybrid 1.0 tamper which has been retrofitted with Skipper.
