Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) names Jamie Adelman as the agency’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Also, Greg Lorenzi joins HNTB as Rail Program Manager.

DART on June 13 announced that Jamie Adelman has been named as the agency’s new CFO, effective June 19.

A key member of the executive team, reporting to DART President and CEO Nadine Lee, Adelman will lead the agency’s accounting, financial reporting, budget, treasury, fare collections and fare payment systems, debt management, investment management, risk management, and technology functions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jamie to our leadership team at DART,” said Lee. “She brings a diverse skill set to the agency, including deep financial experience, strong analytics, and a track record of achievement in the transit industry. She’ll be able to helm our talented finance organization and continue with the delivery of our comprehensive strategic financial plan that helps drive our rider-focused vision.”

Adelman came to DART last December with nearly 20 years of financial leadership experience. This includes leadership of financial planning and management, risk management, treasury, payment systems, statistical reporting, transit capital projects, service transitions, and procurement services. She joined the agency from the Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT), where she most recently served as the Vice President of Procurement, Real Estate & Special Projects.

“I am excited to be in North Texas at a time when it is growing at unprecedented rates and contributing to DART’s mission of providing seamless mobility to the region,” said Adelman. “I look forward to the opportunity to leverage my years of finance and transit experience to play a role in achieving agency goals. DART has a very strong team working to improve the customer experience and provide quality mobility options to our riders.”

Prior to joining SacRT, Adelman spent six years in public accounting, focused on audits of state, local, and special district governmental agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Science – Business Administration – Accounting from CSU Sacramento.

HNTB

HNTB announced June 13 that Greg Lorenzi has joined the firm as a Rail Program Manager. He brings more than 30 years of experience in rail systems, transit, urban infrastructure and strategic development to his new role.

As Rail Program Manager, Lorenzi will support clients in “advancing large scale projects and programs that improve and enhance transit and rail infrastructure and passenger experience,” according to the firm.

“Greg’s expertise in steering high-profile rail and infrastructure programs, coupled with his adept management acumen, will bring significant value to our clients and firm,” said HNTB Chicago Office Leader and Senior Vice President Albert Sosa. “His skill in understanding project intricacies and proactive approach in developing rail solutions for some of the most complex projects, ultimately enhances mobility and connectivity for the community.”

Prior to joining HNTB, Lorenzi had more than two decades of experience working on various Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) projects. During this time, he served in construction and program management capacities ranging from Resident Engineer to Program Manager.

Lorenzi’s relevant experience includes his time at a construction company, where he led the Chicago Transit Partners in implementing the CTA Capital Improvement Program. Throughout his involvement with the program, his responsibilities ranged from directing comprehensive planning and design initiatives to directly supervising the execution of the $2.1 billion Red and Purple Modernization Phase One Project. He focused on intricate tasks such as staging, phasing, and technical evaluations.

Lorenzi earned his Bachelor of Science in construction technology from Indiana State University. He also has completed specialized training, including CTA Rail Safety Training and NICTD Roadway Worker Protection.
