Railway Age honors the Louisville & Indiana Railroad Company and the Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern Railroad as its 2019 Short Line (Class III) and Regional (Class II) Railroads of the Year. Both carriers will be recognized at the American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association Connections Convention in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday, April 9.
Railway Age is now accepting entries for its annual Short Line/Regional Railroad of the Year competition. Class II and III railroads are invited to submit entries describing outstanding achievement in one or a combination of areas.
Railway Age has named Class III railroad Lake State Railway as its Short Line of the Year, and Class II Indiana Rail Road as its Regional of the Year.

On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the morning general session during the ASLRRA Connections Convention, Railway Age will present its 2017 Short Line and Regional Railroads of the Year awards to the North Shore Railroad and Conrail, respectively.

The awards will be presented at the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s annual meeting in San Diego, Calif., Friday, April 25, 2014.
Railway Age magazine has named Gardendale Railroad, Inc. the 2013 Short Line Railroad of the Year, and Montana Rail Link its 2013 Regional Railroad of the Year. The awards will be presented at the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s annual meeting in Atlanta, Ga., Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
